The idea that a man and his family might live on their inherited ground, stay rooted as citizens of their local community, and pass on their land to the next generation may likely disappear in this century. The project intends to portray life of the British farmers, their family and history. Economic, political and social forces are overwhelming the middle size farm in the UK. Farming is viewed by many economists like any other industry sector: as a set of resources - land, labor, capital and management - to be made. But farming is much more than this. It does more than just produce food; it has important social, political, cultural and historical meaning.
